Transitional Executive Education

 

The Synods of Mid-America and Lincoln Trails (MALT) have joined together to provide transitional executive education.

TRANSITIONAL EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TRAINING IS SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 30 - NOVEMBER 3, 2017.

THIS EVENT WILL RUN DURING AND OVERLAP IN SOME AREAS WITH WEEKS I AND II OF TRANSITIONAL MINISTRY EDUCATION AND WILL COST THE SAME AS WEEKS I AND II ($750.00 for Double Occupancy; Single Room Request add $150.00; early arrival on Sunday, October 29 add $100.00).

Registration for Transitional Executive Education is limited to twelve persons who meet one of the four following criteria:
  • currently serving as an interim/transitional mid-council leader
  • scheduled to begin service as an interim/transitional mid-council leader
  • serving or who have served as a mid-council leader
  • recommended by their presbytery as having particular gifts for interim/transitional mid-council leadership.
Ordinarily, those enrolled in transitional executive education have completed at least 30 hours of the basic transitional ministry education.
 
PLEASE NOTE: In order for your registration to be complete, a letter of recommendation from a mid-council leader who is familiar with your work must be submitted to the Synod of Lincoln Trails, attention Judy Johnson ... judy@lincolntrails.org or fax to 317-927-5985.

LEARNING GOALS

During the 20 hours of class time, learning will focus on:
  • Identifying and working with multiple layers of organizational system complexity;
  • Identifying and working with multiple cultures within an organizational system;
  • Identifying and working with mid-council infrastructure
  • Applying the principles and processes of transitional ministry to mid-council leadership.

SCHEDULE

The event begins at 11:00 a.m. on Monday and ends before lunch on Friday.

FEES

The cost of the training is $750.00 for Double Occupancy week with additional amounts for Single Room request and Early Arrival request. Participants will be accepted in the order in which complete registrations (including any needed recommendations) are received.
